The March/April 2015 issue of Public Roads magazine includes the feature article titled “Clearing Crashes on Arterials.” Local departments of Public Works and DOTs play a vital role in managing traffic incidents. This article addresses specifically what these personnel are responsible for, as well as how the TIM responder training course can help clarify their functions. This article is the fourth in a TIM series for this publication. This article was written by Dave Bergner, Monte Vista Associates, LLC, and Kimberly C.
