Florida's Rapid Incident Scene Clearance (RISC) program is an initiative of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to provide monetary incentives for private partners to clear major incidents more quickly in support of Florida's Open Roads Policy. The RISC policy is most commonly implemented in incidents of complete roadway closures on limited access highways, where typical medium and heavy-duty wreckers are not capable of clearing the incident. This document features information on inspections, notification, implementation, funding, performance measures, training, forms, and the RISC implementation timeline.
